What type of flooring fits your need

Floating luxury vinyl floors are a great option for waterproof flooring. This flooring works really well in basements, kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms, and if your looking for a durable and inexpensive floor for your whole house. Floating Luxury vinyl floor lock together which allows the floor to shrink and expand due to its environment. The main reason someone might not like these floors is it has a hollow sound like a laminate floor.

Glue down luxury vinyl are very affordable, and can be very durable. A lot of these floors are used in restaurants, stores, as well as homes. These floors are waterproof as well, but the glue used to glue down the lvp is not. So if you have standing water that has been sitting on the floor for a while you are most likely to have problems. Flue down Lvp require a lot of preparation, and a flawless subfloor. Any and every flaw in the subfloor show through glue down Lvp flooring.

Laminate floors can be very scratch resistant depending on the quality of the laminate. However most Laminate flooring is not waterproof, and very susceptible to water which makes the floor buckle. Which is the reason the Laminate market has been mostly taken over by the Lvp market. Laminate floor are a floating floor, so they have that hollow sound when you walk on them.

Engineered Hardwood is made up of layers of plywood with a wood veneer on top. Engineered Hardwood is much more stable than Solid Wood floors, as far as gapping and are less susceptible to water damage. Most engineered floors have a factory 20 year  finish that is very durable. The downside to these floors is most of them have a very thin wear layer that is to thin to re sand. There are prefinished floors that have a thicker wear layer which are the ones we prefer to sell. Another Downside to these floors they discontinue these floors all the time. So if you damage the floor and do not have extra flooring for the repairs your most likely  going to end up replacing the whole floor.

Solid Wood floors can last for hundreds of years if properly maintained. Solid Wood floors are made of ¾ inch solid wood planks. Solid wood floors are less expensive than engineered wood floors. The advantages of having a Solid Wood floor they are easy to repair, and you can always add on or tie new flooring into it to cover new area’s. It is much less expensive to change the color of your floor than to replace it. Solid wood floors can be sanded many times, so you can change the color as often as you want to keep up with the newest flooring trends. With the new and improved adhesive we can now glue Solid Wood directly to concrete. The downside of Solid Wood is it is less stable than engineered so you may get little gaps, And it is more suseptable to water damage.

Unfinished wood floors come in solid, and engineered. Both Solid and Engineered unfinished floors can be sanded many times and are easy to repair. If you want to add a new area to your floor these floors are easy to add on to. Reason being you do not have to worry about the product getting discontinued. You could get any look you want with these floor, and completely change the look of them if your floor ever goes outdated, or you just want a new look. It is a lot less expensive to sand and refinish a floor rather than replace it.
